Haruto & L-elf ~ Valvrave S2 5 (17)

Seem like the death flag is keeping rising on Haruto and L-elf, mostly on Haruto since he the one piloting the Valvrave.
The runes are pretty much memories and life form on human, the more the person who pilot valvrave the more they'll ran out runes and  then he's likely going to died soon if he keeps up on it, just like Marie from last week episode. Must be tough on Haruto, he knows he's going end valvrave with his life and protect every one, but he's fearing of losing his memories let alone dying like Marie before can even accomplish his goal. Must really suck for him, he probably come to thinking that if he does end the valvrave it probably won't risk his life, but in the end running out runes will come first. However when come to protecting his friends, he try his best to put a side his fear and try to pilot his valvrave.

 So really I don't get why people are busting at him in this episode, I would be the same like Haruto if I was in that situation. Although I still piss off at him for not following L-elf's plan last week.

Pino have no taste at all. How can you turn down that face down?

Actually I take that back, L-elf's life is also on the line just as same as Haruto, but in ways he's running down on runes, Pino can sense it on him ( which got me concern if Haruo has been feeding on L-elf off-screen). The heart breaking part is that Pino does not find L-elf tasty for him to pilot valvrave.  So in ways, he can't pilot and running down on runes is must be really frustration on him, double the frustration is that Haruto fearing to ride the valvrave and wouldn't understand him. Poor L-elf, he doesn't care about his life, all it matter to him is that saving his dear princess. Now I think about it, how come L-elf still remember the princess and yet running down on runes? he Hasn't shown any signs of losing memories, like Marie had.

Such dramatic pain they share, yet they have such issue not understand each others, if they put a side all the argument and try to understand each others, they can reach their goals and then died peacefully. Since there's little to no sign of them living in far future where mini-elf come to be, I assuming they will died at the end. The only thing that mini-elf was conceived, must be an DNA that some one took out of L-elf and Haruto and put in the test tube. I don't know but I will wait couple more episode to talk about that.

Yup I was right both Haruto and L-elf are wearing wet suit on their operation mission, they're tracking down the phantom ship that isn't on Dorssian royalist's records, which i believe it could be Magius. Once they got inside the phantom, they discovered bodies of Dorssian(?) victims are being harvest for runes. look like JIOr isn't the only one wants runes,  Dorssia seem to take interesting too. Haruto was upset by the fact what was going on, he thought destroying the capsule that holds the runes, would put an end to it. Nope, L-elf info Haruto that no matter how many he destroys, there'll be more ships, nothing will change.

Perhaps that the whole other reason why L-elf bought Haruto with him, is to show him the true reality what is really going on. He knows that Haruto is having trouble with himself lately and couldn't pilot properly, so the only way to get him straighten up is to take him on the mission and hoping something will be there to make Haruto realize the reality other than moping about losing his life. Just like back in episode 13 - L-elf offers to kill Haruto, but he said something to him to change his mind..

 

*Feels* Yes that good keep on fighting

They gotten into another argument in this episode. Right after they left the place due to attack on their ship, L-elf order Satomi to pilot valvrave 1, since Haruto is afraid to pilot. I believe he purposely did that to force/motivated haruto to make up his mind. Not just that he's also explain to Haruro that every student at the academy has the ability to pilot valvrave 1, so if in case if one of them run out of runes they always more of his pawn. With in that point it cause an emotional out rage argument between them, it even boiled me up when it really enrages Haruto to throw a punch at him for disagree with him. Of course L-elf blocked his attack and told off Haruto, that he's no longer entrusting him to pilot the valvrave for being a afraid.

If that's not enough tense, than things gotten even more emotional for both of them even to cause them show their true feelings  - Haruto was more enrages what L-elf said to him, so he finally told him that he don't understand what he's going through. Tough for him because he have to re-point that for L-elf when he already knew from that time when they were talking to Pino. I was completely thrown off the edge when L-elf replies in anger tone that Haruto doesn't understand him and what it's like not to having power to pilot Valvrave.

*Awkward Mode*

This is the first time I ever seen L-elf show his true feelings & emotion, though I find it quite interesting that he'd cut off saying his main goal( Lieselotte) and share the same fate with Haruto - running out of runes too. However it does show us Haruto reconsider him.  I like how both of them went into silent mode afterwards, making me believing they got their point through each others.  Well I don't know, but at that very moment it does giving out a vibe that they don't have much to say after that. The argument definitely leads them to coming out with they true feelings.

 It could be that Haruto finally understand him little more, when he saw L-elf show his true feeling, for the first real time. The only time Haruto ever felt L-elf's feelings is when he hijacked his body and found a photo of Lieselotte and then (in l-elf's body ) bash out of tears, unable to control it. However it's different this time, despite L-elf didn't explain his reason, Haruto can clearly see how frustrated L-elf was and probably knew what person he wants to protect.

 As for L-elf, I really don't know why he didn't explain his reason, but he needs to open up  more with Haruto; even little can help a lot. He can understand Haruto's feelings and not being the only one  feelings overwhelm and misunderstand. . I can understand where L-elf is coming from and what his main goal, however he isn't going get his ways if keep on shutting his own feelings and ignoring Haruto. Both of them are suffering from same fate, so why not just at least agreed or confront Haruto about wanting to save a girl.

1 Become 2?

Right after calming down from the  argument, Haruto decided to pilot his valvrave as he remember what L-elf said early -   "Looking the other way won't change the world." while at it he doesn't want any one to take the curse, as he bear the curse it  himself.

Now the strange part is when Haruto was fighting glowing green naked L-elf appear next to Haruto, saying he'll use him until his worn out.....OH....OK... I assuming it's Haruto's imaging, some kind of flashback or maybe it's  L-elf's runes acting up in Haruto's body and somehow making them to talk telepathically to each others. Sound logic to me, I stick with that. But seriously the way L-elf says it sound gay lol.
