Natsuki: Nice day,... isn't?.... Yuki: Ye-yeah.....
Well Kate is in the hospital, leaves Yuki & Haru to take to take their self and Kate's flowers, heck Yuki doesn't have trouble getting out bed in morning thanks to his morning fishing practice routine and for Haru....well being silly as usually break dish, hosing himself down with water, and put too much soap in washer even though its not his fault and Yuki doesn't blame for being dumb Alien.
Speaking of morning fishing practice , Yuki meets Tamotsu, Natsuki's dad, on beach, he the one who came up the Enoshima bowl and already friend with Haru. Heck even at the shop where Yuki and Haru actually eats Enoshima bowl together
With Haru being out of hand for Yuki, he visita his grandma, ask her for some adive to how handle Haru, but all he got was question from Kate - "Would you have fun every day if Haru happened to disappeared one day?"
Finally Natsuki lets Haru and Yuki to cast into the ocean this time Natsuki teaches them about retrieve while using a minnow lure and using their imagination. To shorten it up, Yuki almost caught fish, sadly he panicked to quickly and got away when he reel it when shouldn't.
Shortly after Akira discovered at Natsuki's shop, spying by surveillance cameras, he suspicious that huge fish is live in Enoshima and that Haru's want catch it. Akira dropped by Hemingway to inquiry some info about huge fish, but wait, he didn't just dropped by asking first, he also bought along some fishing-equipment
Back at Natsuki's place, Tamotsu and Natsuki got into a fight...well not really, Tamotsu just want to talk to his son, but Natsuki is respond coldy about weird phone cell about the store and ain't happy with father about it.
Next morning Haru squirts Natsuki and his dad go fishing together, but sadly when Yuki came and snap Natsuki out of brainwash-father & son-fishing-time trance with dad, Natsuki feels disgusted when he discovered he was fishing with his father and took of runing. Tamotsu did appreciate Haru for helping him out with son.
What this lead to using the water gun? Yuki arguing with Haru despite Haru was just helping out their relationship, however it's much worse than water gun, He criticize him again that he wouldn't understand human how feels, just because Haru is an Alien, even though Haru want to understand it, it's impossible for Yuki when Haru breaks his promises and betray his trust. The most hurtful ways to end the argument is that Yuki doesn't want see Haru anymore -
Haru: But Tamocchan was happy. You said it would be better if everyone got along. Yuki, are you mad? I'm sorry. Sorry, sorry.
Yuki: Enough Already! Why do you always have to do things you shouldn't do?
Haru: But it's better if everyone...
Yuki: It's not that simple! You can't understand how human feel because you're an alien.
Haru: I don't understand, but I want to.
Yuki: It's impossible. You even broke your promise. You're the worst. I don't care what you do any more.
Haru: Yuki
Yuki: Don't follow me! Go home already. Go back to space, or wherever
Haru comes to the only person for advice on how to deal with relationship with Yuki - Kate, well in ways she like an counsel now lol. Anyways she told not tell worried, in no time Yuki will start to regret it and worried about Haru and even though Haru did apologize to Yuki lot, she explain "sorry" it is not enough.
After school Natsuki & Yuki went fishing without Haru, in ways Natsuki asked Yuki
Natsuki: It sure is quiet without him.
Yuki: it's easier with that selfish guy.
Natsuki: you've started saying those kinds of things. When I met you, I could never tell what you were thinking. You've changed.
Yuki: Maybe.
Natsuki: It could be thanks to Haru.
Yuki: Why do you say that?
Natsuki: He can be intrusive, but you can't help but laught, you know?
Yuki: I don't care. I just want to catch something.
Magically, Yuki got hold of fish and reel it in, perhaps Yuki finally got some sense about Haru, may helped him got hold of the fish? he even astound and asking Natsuki took a picture of fish so he can show it to Haru.
What can I say? Natsuki helped Yuki realize Haru, was needed in his life, so when Yuki came home to look for Haru to show him the photo, he was nowhere to be found, he started to worried that Haru may went back home. Just when he fixing to give up, he found Haru floating in ocean, he even overcome his panic attack and jump right in to ocean just to save him. Turned out Haru was just little dry and saved Yuki from drowning lol, it took while to save he as Haru keep on commentary how grateful of Yuki to worried about him.
Back on land, they start to bond with each started with apologizing - in ways Haru offers to throw away his water gun into ocean for apologetic , however Yuki stopped him. When they laid down on grasses Yuki open up to Haru apologize for getting mad at him, as for Haru, he want to understand human so they wouldn't fight anymore. After heart to heart talk Yuki took out his cellphone to show Haru photo of fish he caught today, sadly Haru doesn't believe him as the phone wasn't waterproof.
So the episode ends with Yuki being all freeze cold after getting wet, chasing after his shirt that Haru took of runing. In bitter-sweet ways for Yuki - "I caught a cold that day. Haru stayed by my side the whole time...His presence should've bothered me more than anyone else's". As for Akira , he wonder if Haru come to earth to form a friendship or something else.
--------------------------Episode 5 Preview
Yuki having panic attack, Coco is back fishbowl? Ayumi took trio boat fishing Yes even Akira is on the boat too, finally got see how Akira interact with them, but wait Yuki doesn't so happy toward the end of the preview? Seem like lot thing going to happened next episode.
End thoughts
What can I say? I adore this episode, it was full of heartwarming and development, sadly not much on drama side of development or progresses relationship on 'Natsuki & his dad' yet, at very least we did see how much he hates his father to point he will never go fishing with him. As for Kate's hospitalized, she doesn't seem sick, at least not showing it, but got feeling something trouble may go wrong, I mean there must be reason to keep Kate's hospitalized, if something does happened to her, I can tell there's going to be huge impact on Yuki and how it infect his relationship with Yuki & Natsuki.
Now on the characters development, am astound how much the boys changed lot then previously episodes - Natsuki smiling lot in this episode and being friendly now at least toward his friends and yet still grouchy towards father, Yuki breaking out of his shell, speaks out his mind and overcoming his panic attack just to save Haru, Haru is more sweeter than over, I really like how he's trying his best to help out other and understand human feelings despite he doesn't mean any harm. Well Yuki & Natsuki got spotlight having cheerful faces, Akira should also get the spotlight in this episode too, last week he doesn't seem happy but this week he showed his smiled, on less he's in love with Misaki.
Friendship:
What make this episode special to me is how the friendship developing progresses and it more dynamic than previously episode back. If weren't for Haru, Yuki won't learn how fish and still panic lot, yet it's more just that it's how Yuki become friends with Natsuki and manages to express his thoughts toward him. It's pretty sweet of Natsuki to comment how much Yuki changed thanks to Haru, he even not consider to help out Yuki's relationship with Haru, he even more opening more to Haru & Yuki. The only thing left is for Akira to join their gang, although the preview of episode 5 doesn't looks good, it look like he said something to make Yuki upset :\, well at least he manage to get close to them.
Natsuki & Yuki -
We get see different side of their relationship developing without Haru being there, even if he's not there, they still talk about how much they changed and appreciate Haru for it. Through out their interaction they finally speak out their mind and feel much ease at same time put on smile. It's amaze me on how Natsuki spoke in soft toned toward Yuki than usally.
Haru & Yuki -
This week episode explores a lot of of Haru & Yuki's relationship, and with explores, they finally become closer and understand each others ;_; so happy about it, like last week it was Natsuki who become friends with them. Before that happened I was acutally glad Yuki got mad and told Haru go back to space, haha yeah I was actually wait for that to happened, like I mentioned last review, I like angst friendship, surprisingly didn't suspects they to make up toward end of the episode ( than again there's only 11 episodes ), but in ways I love it, if the fight didn't happened, there won't be much development between them, never less Haru probably will be the one developing their relationship alone. I really love how Yuki come to his mind and don't blamed an faults on Haru for want to understand human's emotion and being an alien, but what I really enjoy is how Yuki worried over Haru's disappeared and didn't meant an hard feelings. When he found Haru, he jump into ocean just saved him from drowning, turned out Yuki was the one was drowning lol, but yeah Yuki come to realize he needed Haru in his life just like Haru needed Yuki in his life to be able understand human and care for Yuki, heck he even offer to throw his water gun away just to make Yuki happy. On the sweeter side, it's sweet of Haru to stayed by his side the whole times when he caught a cold. Gosh something their relationship make my heart feel funny lol.
Drama:
Gosh not sure what Natsuki mentioned by weird phone call about store, my hunch is that Natsuki's father what do some drastic change to the store , if so I totally understand Natsuki's problem about it due to his mother's past on it, I too have same problem about redo things and move on about it. This episode actually shows that Usami wants to be good terms with son, however his son is so coldly toward him, it's not usami's fault, Nasuki needs care about his father's happiness and move on, just like Haru care about Yuki's happiness, maybe Natsuki will learn from Haru to care for his father?
I do like that fact Haru squirted Usami and Natsuki to have their father & son fishing moments. Poor usami, I sure Natsuki will open to father soon. I wonder how their relationship is going work out or turn to worse if his dad going do something to the store. Maybe Sakura would snapped out of her shell, the official sit does showed her crying after all.
Fish:
There's two I know got from this episode and that is: Haru can't last a day without water or prehaps lacking of water had increased now? he even mentioned to Yuki he felt little dry. And last there's a huge fish living in Enoshima, according to Goddess & dragon's story I come crossed that something dropped down on earth's ocean? Could be a huge fish that Coco & Haru is looking for...hmmm
Thing I find amusing:
-Haru can't tell the difference between romantic relationship and best friends. lol I like to see how
fans write Haru/Yuki fiction on that.
-Yuki can't swim, If I was him, I don't think I would jump in the water since I fear what's under the
dark water, other than that I can't swim either lol
-Boss vs Tapioca
-Angrypinkshirtguy become real character
-Ayumi is acutally in love with Misaki? lol knew that long before, I sense theirs love triangle going between Akira-Misaki-& Ayumi.
