Spring 2012 preview ( Update March 28 )

Here's Spring 2012 preview list that you should keep your eyes on this Spring that may contains or/and have interaction moments between two or more youngs boys what every is brotherly love, bromance, friendship, BL subtext and whatnot.

Not really much this season however there's really good one this Spring :D
Recommend: Tsuritama & Kimi to Boku 2 for friendship, and Sakamichi no Apollon for friendship & bromance

Characters: Yuki, Haru, Natsuki, and Akira

Predictions of seeing :
BL undertones – 85% // Friendships – 100%

In Enoshima, Yuki is a high school student who's never been good at making real friends thanks to his abnormally poor communication skills. Haru is the self-styled alien who decides to teach Yuki to fish. Natsuki is an irritable born-and-raised local. Akira is the mysterious Indian who watches them all from a distance. These four meet, fish, and find big adventures on their little island.

Kodama's original manga follows a naive boy and a scruffy boy in a provincial town in Nagasaki Prefecture in the late 1960s. In the early summer of 1966, Kaoru transfers to the local high school from Yokosuka. Thanks to his family's nearly constant cycle of moving from town to town, Kaoru has only known school as a difficult place for readjusting everytime. However, on his first day at this new school, he meets a boy and begins a new direction in life.

Oh hey look another "He meets a boy" anime and it's going to air on noitamina timeslot this Spring, Sweet! :D This time it's human meets human not human meets half animal or alien, but than again he meets a bad boy. Based on trailer they become friends right away? girl joined them ( trio ), plays jazz? and take place in 60s? sound pretty good to me, and do love jazz :D

It's kind funny people on tumblr keep saying there's homo subtext it, and they shipped the two boys up. By the look of it does have bit BL subtext or just strong bromance. The manga it self does have het romance in it, but don't worried, it's not real focus of story, I read some where that manga has balanced both romance and friendship, which it's really good to me, because many romance stories doesn't show much friendship.

Ok i'm little worried that it's done by Kyoto Animation, they are likely to make money based on moe girls.

Sigh....I just hate when there's two girls and two boys, it make me think it's love-type story, but it isn't and yet I seen some many fanarts and now official scans making it looks like canon couples. The novel acutally look like mystery while anime look like Moe-romance-mystery.... And I fearing I'm not going to see an interaction on two best friends. It's even worse to think that Kyoto Animation loves Moe girls and yuri. But than again I seen Clannad long ago and they did added bit bromance or BL joke between Youhei & Tomoya. Oh did I mentioned that voice actors of Youhei and Tomoya is going voice the two boys in the show???? Wow I feel nostalgia right now.

Edited: Pretty much Hyouka is going to have moe-romance theme, based on the trailer, and focus more on het relationships than the same sex relationships( friendship & ect ). So yeah I lower the BL undertones to 20% from 48%. Also don't bother getting into the fandom, 99%  is going be moe girls and het pairing only. But don't worried! You got Tsuritama, KtB2 and Apollon to enjoy in fandom ^^

Yup Kimi to boku gets a second season this Spring :) I haven't finished first season so I can't say much but if you really love school boys' friendship stories than Kimi to boku is definitely the one you should watch this Spring along with Tsuritama :D and OMG Miyu Irino seem to playing both enthusiastic characters Haru( Tsuritama ) & Chizuru in both youth stories :D

BL undertones – 85% // Friendships – 73%

I'm not really in to Japanese theme, but it can't be helped that the boys are wearing school uniform and that some of them are teenages. Beside most reverse harem like Starry sky and Uta no☆Prince-sama always have BL subtext, now I come to think about it, it seem most reverse harem seem to aims for fujoshi these days. And lets not forget that Studio Deen had done Starry Sky in the past, sadly lot people hate it for some reason. :\

I'm getting a Prince of Tennis vibe based on the art, than again POT isn't that muscular....haha sorry these days I can't seem to get passed teenage boys looking so muscular or older type teenage in sport these days, Oofuri wasn't like that. But any ways I will still watch it if there's any interaction moments. So if you like muscular/older teenage than you should watch this. :)

BL undertones – 48% // Friendships – 65%

Pre-teen/shota playing soccer? Now the closest I can think of that have shota or pre-teen playing sport is Inazuma Eleven. I can't really say or predict if there's going to be boys having interactions with other boys or not, but if I was you I'd still keep eyes on it. I do love pre-teen or shotas' relationship beside I will still watch it because girls are playing soccer too, it's about freaking time to girls playing sports without damn fanservice.

Uchuu Kyoudai - brothers, I only read first chapter and they started of as little kids. So only episode 1 or half will only have them as kids.
